Substance Awareness Center (SAC) is accredited by CARF International for its Day Treatment, Outpatient Treatment, and Prevention programs. CARF acknowledged the Substance Awareness Center’s exemplary conformance to the prevention standards through their outstanding results and innovative benefits to the field. This accreditation decision represents the highest level of accreditation that can be given to an organization. This means that SAC has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit its commitment to offering programs and services that are measurable, accountable, and of the highest quality.

In CARF’s Accreditation Report, it stated that SAC demonstrated substantial conformance to the standards, and continues to identify alignment between community needs and organization strengths. CARF also stated that, the organizations leadership and staff members are respected in the community and regarded as extremely responsive and participatory, and that our school-based prevention program is recognized in the community as providing high-quality services to a vulnerable population.

Leadership has shown a commitment to improving operations for the benefit of clients through careful performance improvement plans that strengthen outcomes for clients and demonstrate quality improvement and ongoing conformance to the CARF standards.
